We’re well poised for growth into new markets and planning for significant expansion over the coming years.The PositionThe Cook Team Member contributes to the preparation for that day's tasty lunch. You'll perform routine kitchen duties such as setting up workstations, and following recipes. The Cook Team Member is proactive in health and safety matters, ensuring all rules are being followed. The Cook Team Member will consistently work as a member of a rapid‑paced, busy environment in a team setting.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with high-volume meal preparation.Cook and portion hot food items according to standardized recipes.Organize, weigh, and count food ingredients.Follow all food safety regulations and operational guidelines.Ensure all food meets quality and safety standards, promptly reporting any issues to the Quality Assurance team and Production Manager.Contribute to team performance metrics and participate in team meetings.Support production tasks related to meal preparation for the following day.Maintain a clean and organized workspace.Ensure fridges and freezers remain well‑stocked and orderly.Properly sort and dispose of kitchen waste in an organized manner.Assist with waste removal as needed.Adhere to all health and safety protocols to create a safe working environment.About YouRequired Education & ExperienceHigh School diploma or equivalent.Previous experience in a fast‑paced kitchen or food production environment is preferred.Additional SkillsStrong work ethic – dedicated, reliable, and eager to get the job done right.Team player – works well in a collaborative environment.Punctual and dependable – maintains a strong attendance record.Physical stamina – able to stand for an entire 8‑hour shift and lift up to 25kg repeatedly.Attention to cleanliness – maintains high hygiene and sanitation standards.Basic English proficiency – ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.Math skills – capable of performing basic calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) for portioning and measurements.Nice‑to‑haveFirst Aid Training Certification.Food Handler’s Certification.Benefits & Savings ProgramsEmployee Savings Program (RRSP and RESP Matching).Performance Bonus Program.Employee & Family Assistance Program.Wellness Spending Account.Time OffBegin with two weeks of vacation and unlock additional weeks as you achieve service milestones.8 paid sick and wellness days per year.$500 each year towards professional development.Real Food for Real Kids, 115 Saulter St. South, Toronto, Ontario, CanadaReal Food for Real Kids is an equal opportunity employer.
