OverviewAn employee hired to operate a school bus and other vehicles required to transport students. The employee is responsible to the Director of Operations or designate.PositionCASUAL ON CALLHours of WorkTen months per year position, while school is in session for students. Morning shifts may start as early as 6:00 a.M. Afternoon shifts may end as late as 5:00 p.M. This may require drivers to use electronic equipmentUltimately responsible for all aspects regarding the safe operation of the vehicle and the management of all passengersMay be required to load, unload, and secure wheelchairsDrivers must report unsafe conditions, including mechanical, traffic, road conditions, discipline and scheduling issues, to the supervisor or designate as soon as it is secure to do soEnsure the bus is cleaned daily and weekly as requiredAdminister first aid as requiredProvide appropriate action for accidents and other potentially serious and/or dangerous situationsAttend meetings or courses, such as student discipline, as requiredProvide driver’s license abstract annuallyExtra-curricular/co-curricular trips may be requiredPerform other job-related dutiesAll applications must be submitted through Make Future to be considered for the position.
