Catering/Social Media Manager Intern

Position Overview

- Support the management team in the day-to-day operation and continued growth of the company.

- Gain hands-on experience in retail management, catering, marketing, business development, and strategic planning.

- Assist in developing systems, policies, and procedures to improve business efficiency and customer service.

- Support the expansion of lunch catering, supper takeout, and other new business opportunities.

- Work closely with management and staff to identify operational challenges and opportunities for improvement.

Management &

- Business Development

- Assist with the development and implementation of company policies and procedures.

- Support strategic planning and long-term business development initiatives.

- Identify opportunities to improve sales, profitability, customer service, and operational efficiency.

- Assist with developing new products, services, and revenue opportunities.

- Help monitor business performance and identify areas requiring improvement.

- Assist management with special projects and business expansion initiatives.

Catering Operations

- Assist with the launch and development of expanded catering services.

- Coordinate catering orders from initial customer inquiry through completion.

- Assist with menu development, pricing, packaging, and presentation.

- Communicate with customers regarding catering requirements, custom orders, and event details.

- Coordinate with kitchen, bakery, and retail staff to ensure catering orders are completed accurately and on time.

- Assist with developing systems and procedures to improve catering efficiency.





- Support the growth of both lunch and supper catering programs.

Retail Operations

- Assist with day-to-day retail operations and customer service.

- Support retail staff and help ensure company standards are consistently maintained.

- Assist with merchandising, product presentation, inventory organization, and store appearance.

- Help identify opportunities to improve the customer experience.

- Assist with scheduling, workflow planning, and operational organization as required.

- Provide support during busy periods and assist staff with customer-facing duties.

Marketing &

- Social Media

- Assist with the development and implementation of marketing strategies.

- Support social media planning, content creation, photography, and promotional campaigns.

- Help promote recent products, catering services, seasonal offerings, and special events.

- Assist with website content and promotional material.

- Monitor customer engagement and help identify effective marketing opportunities.

- Assist in maintaining a consistent brand image across company locations and platforms.

Policy &

- Process Development

- Review existing procedures and identify opportunities for improvement.

- Assist in creating written policies, procedures, checklists, and operational guidelines.

- Help implement standardized processes across retail and catering operations.





- Assist with improving communication between management, production, retail, and catering teams.

- Track results and provide recommendations for further improvements.

Customer Service

- Provide professional and friendly customer service.

- Respond to customer inquiries regarding products, catering, and custom orders.

- Assist with resolving customer concerns and finding appropriate solutions.

- Build positive relationships with customers and identify opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and sales.

Training &

- Professional Development

- Participate in management meetings and business planning discussions.

- Develop leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

- Receive mentorship and hands-on training from experienced management.

- Gain practical experience in multiple areas of business operations.

- Take on increasing responsibility as knowledge and skills develop.

Qualifications &

- Skills

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

- Interest in business management, retail, catering, marketing, or entrepreneurship.

- Ability to work independently while also working effectively as part of a team.

- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced customer-service environment.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

- Proficiency with computers, social media, and common office applications is an asset.

- Previous retail, food service, catering, hospitality, or supervisory experience is an asset.

Pay: From $23.00 per hour
