We are seeking a highly experienced AWS Solution Architect to design and build a scalable, secure, and enterprise‑grade data foundation layer leveraging Snowflake on Amazon Web Services. This role will be responsible for defining the target data architecture, enabling data ingestion, storage, governance, and consumption for analytics, reporting, and AI/ML use cases across the bank. This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown client office at a minimum 4 days per week – subject to change at any time.Future Duties and ResponsibilitiesArchitecture & DesignDesign end-to-end data architecture on AWS using Snowflake as the core data platformDefine data foundation layer (ingestion → storage → transformation → consumption)Establish reference architecture, patterns, and standardsAWS Cloud & Platform EngineeringArchitect solutions using AWS servicesOptimize cost, performance, and scalabilityEnsure high availability and disaster recovery designSnowflake Data PlatformDesign Snowflake architecture: Databases, schemas, warehouses, data sharing and secure data accessImplement data modeling (ELT/ETL patterns), performance tuning and workload managementData Ingestion & IntegrationDesign pipelines for batch and real‑time ingestion of structured and semi‑structured dataIntegrate with upstream/downstream systems: Core banking systems,



APIs and external data sourcesAnalytics & Consumption LayerEnable data access for BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) and advanced analytics and AI/ML platformsDefine semantic layer and data martsDevOps & AutomationImplement CI/CD pipelines for data and infrastructureUse Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform / CloudFormationPromote DevSecOps practicesRequired Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role10+ years in IT, with 5+ years in cloud architecture (AWS) and 3+ years in Snowflake implementationExperience in banking or financial services preferredStrong expertise in AWS (S3, EMR, EKS, Lambda, IAM, VPC) and Snowflake (Scala, Java, SQL)Experience with data modeling (Kimball / Data Vault), streaming (Kafka/Kinesis), Qunatexa (architecture & implementation)Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fieldNice to Have (Banking Context)Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (OSFI, FINTRAC) and data privacy and residency requirementsExperience with large‑scale data platforms in Tier‑1 banksCertifications (Preferred)AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Qualified)Snowflake SnowPro CertificationPay RangeCGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $115,000–$165,000.
