Junior QA Analyst – Manual Testing

We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior QA Analyst to join our dynamic team and support one of our clients. This position is primarily focused on manual testing and is ideal for someone with junior-level QA experience who has a strong understanding of software testing processes and is looking to further develop their career in Quality Assurance.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform manual testing of web-based applications to ensure functionality and quality.
- Review business and functional requirements and develop appropriate test scenarios and test cases.
- Execute functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Identify, document, and track software defects through resolution.
- Retest resolved defects and perform regression testing following application changes.
- Work closely with developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and other team members to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
- Document testing results and maintain test cases and other QA documentation.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies,



including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Support application releases by completing required testing within established timelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 1–3 years of QA/manual testing experience or equivalent relevant experience.
- Good understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Hands-on experience creating and executing test cases and test scenarios.
- Experience with functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing.
- Ability to identify, document, and track defects.
- Familiarity with defect tracking/test management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Basic understanding of SQL and database validation is an asset.
- Basic knowledge of API testing/Postman is an asset.
- Robust attention to detail and analytical/problem-solving skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Previous experience within banking or financial services is an asset.
- Basic understanding of automation testing concepts is beneficial but not required.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
