OverviewSecuricare is seeking Remote Healthcare Security Professionals to support our healthcare security operations in Squamish for Squamish General Hospital (SGH) within the Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) portfolio. This role is based across multiple healthcare sites within Metro Vancouver. In this position, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. You will be responsible for access control, proactive patrols, incident response, and working closely with healthcare teams in a fast-paced clinical setting. The ideal candidate brings strong situational awareness, professionalism, and the ability to respond effectively in high-pressure situations.Duties & ResponsibilitiesMonitor entry points and control access to the healthcare facility, verifying credentials and authorizing entry for authorized personnel.Conduct regular patrols of the facility, including interior and exterior areas, to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security threats.Respond promptly to security incidents, including medical emergencies, disturbances, and safety hazards.Follow established protocols for emergency situations, such as lockdown procedures or evacuation drills, to ensure the safety of patients and staff.Interact with patients, visitors, and staff in a calm and respectful manner, resolving conflicts and addressing concerns to maintain a peaceful environment.Utilize effective de-escalation techniques to manage volatile situations and prevent escalation to violence.Monitor security cameras, alarm systems, and other surveillance equipment to detect suspicious activity and potential security breaches.Document all security-related incidents and observations accurately,
