Contracts Manager – Calgary, AB

Location: Calgary, AB

Position: Full-Time / Permanent

Skyline Recruitment is working with an established Canadian construction contractor to recruit an experienced Commercial / Contracts Manager for a senior position based in Calgary.

This role will support the commercial performance of major construction projects, working closely with senior leadership and project teams across contract management, cost and revenue reporting, change management, risk and subcontract administration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide commercial and contractual guidance to project leadership teams

• Manage contract administration, including notices, correspondence, change and claims

• Oversee subcontract management from procurement through to close-out

• Develop and maintain strong commercial relationships with clients and key stakeholders

• Manage project risk and opportunity registers and support mitigation strategies

• Prepare monthly cost, revenue, cash flow and commercial performance reports

• Monitor project forecasts, earned value and projected costs to completion

• Ensure contractual requirements and notification periods are maintained





• Support change order preparation, negotiation and commercial resolution

• Drive commercial awareness and best practices across project teams

• Mentor and support commercial and contract professionals

Experience & Qualifications:

• 7+ years of commercial, contracts or project management experience within construction

• Strong background in heavy civil, infrastructure, industrial or energy projects

• Demonstrated experience with contract administration, subcontract management and change management

• Strong commercial and financial understanding

• Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills

• Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Law or a related discipline preferred

• CIQS, RICS, PMP or similar skilled designation considered an asset
