Position OverviewMNVNA is seekingAutomotive Prep Technicians(Note: No License Required) who will be responsible for meticulous preparation of carbon fibre and fiberglass bodywork and application of world-class primer/paint finishes.This is an exciting opportunity for anyone who desires hands‑on experience with high performance vehicles, the latest in automotive technology, and has a passionate interest in automobiles.Duties And ResponsibilitiesMust be organized and work in a safe manner, following all safety proceduresApply coatings to composite components using various spray methodsPrepare components for coatings using various preparation methodsSpot repair components using various spray methodsMaintain shop tools and equipment including the spray facilityMix, spray and verify coatings to matchMask appropriate areas as requiredInspect components during processing stagesFollow work instructions and quality control processesUse body repair materials and methods for composite componentsComfortable working in a dynamic team setting and providing/receiving constructive feedbackAdhering to Multimatic’s quality-focused attitude and work cultureTraining is provided as required.Education And ExperienceExperience in auto body finishing and repairExperience in spot repair using airbrush or spray gunExperience in colour matchingExperience with painting two or three tone graphics across various panelsAbility to interpret basic work instructions & follow mix ratiosAbility to work with minimal supervision with high quality outputAn understanding of composite component construction is an assetExperience in manufacturing environments is an assetThis job posting is for an existing vacancy.
