Role OverviewAs aData Engineering Team Lead, you will provide technical leadership and direction for the organization’s data engineering capabilities. The role sets engineering standards, designs scalable and secure data architectures, and leads to complex, cross‑team data initiatives. While remaining hands‑on, you will influence platform strategy, mentor engineers, and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, governance and business priorities.ThisFull‑time, Permanentrole is based at ourHead Office in Vancouver, British Columbiaand will report directly to theDirector, Data Platforms. operational excellence and engineering disciplineQualificationsBachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical discipline6‑8+ years of industry experience in Data Engineering or related field handling data processing and transformation of disparate datasetsExperience with big data and analytics programming languages such as Python, R, Spark in DatabricksExperience with batch and real‑time processing frameworks (EventHub, Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, etc.)Strong ability to innovate and adapt to emerging technologiesExcellent problem‑solving skills and ability to manage competing prioritiesExperience with Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Semarchy and EventHubExposure to DevSecOps practices and security‑first principlesUnderstanding of data storage, mapping, modeling and real‑time data handlingWhat You’ll BringStrategic and risk‑aware– you connect capital, liquidity and balance sheet decisions to enterprise risk appetite and anticipate emerging vulnerabilitiesAnalytical– you apply rigor to financial modelling and stress testing, challenge assumptions thoughtfully and deliver clear,

The base pay may vary depending on relevant qualifications, skills and experience.
