Mazzei Electric started in Nanaimo, BC in 1994 and has grown to serve multi-family residential, commercial, institutional, and light industrial projects across the province. We now operate throughout Vancouver Island, the Okanagan, and Northern BC.We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join our Vancouver Projects Team. This role reports directly to the President and will be based out of Vancouver, BC.Compensation: competitive salary of approximately $145,000.00 to $175,000.00 per year, plus enrollment into our profit share program, vehicle allowance, and an extensive health and dental benefit plan that we pay the premiums for. Extra benefits include RRSP matching, paid training and development, recognition programs, employee perks such as discounts on vehicle repair/parts, retail stores, and gym memberships.ResponsibilitiesLead Project Managers in the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects from inception to completion.Oversee all projects in Vancouver, ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.Fully support and promote Mazzei Electric’s core values of Safety, Innovation, relationships, and trust.Ensure project managers achieve operational performance targets including timelines, cost and revenue targets, labour KPIs, margin, safety, and environmental compliance.Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to Project Managers,
setting clear goals and expectations.Provide technical advice and guidance to Project Managers.Oversee project handover meetings and conduct post‑project reviews to identify improvement areas.Participate in progress meetings as requested.Maintain client satisfaction and resolve concerns promptly.Collaborate with Human Resources, Safety, and Health, as well as Pre‑Construction teams to ensure consistency of processes and policies.Maintain effective customer and vendor relations and assist with cash flow management.Ensure compliance with company policies and recommend policy changes as needed.Manage internal and external risk throughout the project lifecycle.Procure and allocate resources to avoid delays and coordinate tasks across all sites.Oversee manpower allocation and planning, ensuring workers are utilized for strengths and mentored for weaknesses.Review, negotiate, and manage contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.Monitor contract performance, ensuring adherence to timelines, milestones, and quality standards.Strategize and monitor regional revenue in conjunction with the President; track monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.Maintain strict adherence to industry and Mazzei Electric safety standards.Business DevelopmentEngage in business development activities to grow Mazzei Electric’s market share in Vancouver,
including creating and executing a business plan to grow the service business.Develop and maintain a network of professional relationships within the industry.Participate in monthly company‑wide business development meetings and initiatives.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesMinimum 10 years of progressive electrical project experience on projects over $10M.Minimum 3 years of experience providing leadership and mentorship to a team.Red‑Seal Journeyperson Electrician and FSR required.Formal training in business and/or project management is an asset.Strong understanding of financial processes, contract and budget management.Strong leadership, organizational, decision‑making, problem‑solving, and customer service skills.Experience in project pre‑planning, manpower allocation, and scheduling management.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in project management software, accounting or ERP software.Strong working knowledge of industry software including Bluebeam, Accubid, and Microsoft Office.Highly experienced in project administration tasks such as RFIs, submittals, change order management, progress billings.Excellent knowledge of industry products, practices, and standards.Strong time‑management and multi‑tasking ability to prioritize a high workload.Ability to identify potential risks and devise proactive solutions.Willingness to welcome feedback and use it to improve production quality.Additional duties as required.#J-18808-Ljbffr
