Our Centre emphasizes play‑based, family‑centered learning with a focus on social‑emotional development.Contract DetailsPermanent full‑time position.Mon – Fri, 35 hours per week.Hours may vary within 7:30 am – 5:00 pm.Hourly wage $24.00–$27.00 (plus $6.00 BC Wage Enhancement for certified staff).Includes extended Health & Dental benefits, Employee Assistance Program, 3 weeks paid vacation (prorated in first year), and professional development.Convenient location close to transit; free parking available.Beautiful North Vancouver setting near parks, trails, and the community centre’s fitness facilities.ResponsibilitiesConstantly supervise and ensure the safety and well‑being of all children.Maintain regular communication with team,
other staff and parents.Review daily logbook and confidential documentation at shift start and finish.Communicate effectively and empathetically with parents during drop‑off and pick‑up.Recognize and respond to each child's needs using developmentally appropriate guidance and teaching methods.Actively participate in team discussions to promote children’s creativity and holistic development aligned with the BC Early Learning Framework.Ensure compliance with all Child Care licensing regulations.Perform additional duties as assigned by the Child Care Supervisor or Manager.Required QualificationsCurrent ECE and Infant/Toddler Certificate.Child Care First Aid Certificate.Explicit Criminal Records Check for Vulnerable Persons.Minimum six months experience in a licensed group child‑care setting in BC.Eligible to work in Canada.Bonus: Special Needs Certification and Food Safe Certificate.We are committed to creating an inclusive, accessible, and welcoming environment.
