Wholly owned by its team members, the firm continues its tradition of leadership in the financial community as one of BC’s most respected investment firms.THE OPPORTUNITYWe have an opportunity for an Investment Assistant to join our award-winning firm in the Kelowna office.WHAT YOU’LL DOThe Kelowna team comprises of over fourteen Portfolio Managers and Investment Advisors, and you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the branch. The ideal candidate has a strong client service orientation and takes pride in their work. They have a proven history of building relationships with clients and are proactive and engaged.This role requires the successful candidate to work onsite in the office five days per week.RESPONSIBILITIESPortfolio and Administrative SupportProcess transactions such as wires, EFTs, contributions, withdrawals, and transfers in a timely mannerPrepare investment performance reports and quarterly reportsDocument transactions and client communications and ensure regulatory complianceClient Support and Relationship ManagementCollaborate with Portfolio Managers, Investment Advisors and client service teams to deliver seamless client experience and contribute to internal improvementsRespond to client calls and emails, resolve inquiries regarding account activity and performance, maintain documentation, and elevate issues as neededMaintain accurate client records and ensure compliance with KYC/AML regulationsExecute mutual funds, equity and fixed income tradesSchedule and prepare materials for client meetings, including portfolio reviews and investment proposalsCOMPETENCIESAssessment and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data,



information, or situations to understand the most key details, identify patterns or meaning, and translate it into useful recommendations, decisions, or actionsCoordination: prioritize, organize, and manage information, people, assets, resources, messages, tasks and/or activities to achieve a goal within timelinesCustomer Service: determine needs, capture relevant information, apply internal policy or regulation, and elevate and prioritize the requests of customers to answer inquiries, fulfill transactions, or resolve issuesDigital Literacy: use technology, tools, and online resources to find, create, and communicate information or apply new digital tools or systems to do our work, while staying secure and responsible in digital environmentsInvestment and Portfolio Management: develop, implement, and monitor investment strategies to grow assets, manage risk, and achieve financial goals, while providing informed guidance and support to clients or stakeholdersProduct Knowledge: maintain and deepen knowledge of company products, services and/or applications to align features, benefits, and uses to client or stakeholder needsRegulatory Knowledge: understand and apply relevant laws, regulations, and standards to meet legal and ethical requirements and reduce risk for clients and the organizationKNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCEMeet CIRO’s educational and experience requirements to meet the qualifications necessary to be approved as an Investment RepresentativeUndergraduate degree in business,
