Emergency Health Services (EHS) in Northern Alberta offers a role that supports your lifestyle while providing meaningful opportunities for skilled growth and development. The position is based at Grande Prairie Hub and supports service delivery across Grande Prairie, Beaverlodge, Fox Creek, Grande Cache, Spirit River, and Valleyview. Staff may choose shifts at any of these sites based on availability.Competitive compensation and flexible benefits, including a Remote Retention Allowance of up to $3,000 per annum.ResponsibilitiesAs a Primary Care Paramedic (PCP), you will assess emergency scenes and patients, and may transport ill or injured patients from emergency scenes and between facilities. This includes operating ambulances or other modes of transportation.You may treat patients by administering minor medications, basic life support (BLS) airway adjuncts, and semi‑automated defibrillation. You may also lead the BLS crew in delivering clinical care during patient transport or at emergency scenes.You will assist with ensuring that ambulances or other Emergency Medical Services (EMS) vehicles, such as non‑emergent transport (NET), are properly stocked and equipped.The working environment for a PCP is demanding and includes exposure to heat, cold, rain, snow, and wind, moving traffic, and industrial and agricultural equipment. You will need to travel in all weather conditions and to remote locations (e.G. backcountry) with exposure to hazardous and graphic scenes and direct exposure to bodily fluids.The working conditions for a PCP are also physically demanding. You must be able to endure frequent lifting and carrying of up to 105lb while transporting and transferring patients, supplies, and equipment. You must be able to endure frequent,
