Staff Plus is hiring for an experienced Machine Operator Brake Press and Shear machines- Fabricator for our client in Mississauga, ON for the day shift

Day shift: Monday- Thursday 7:00am to 4:30pm and Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm

Pay rate: $22.80/ hour

Duties
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables.
Set up, operate and maintain a variety of machine tools including computer numerically controlled (CNC) tools to perform precision, non-repetitive machining operations.
Brake Press and Shear machines, so the candidate must have experience operating these types of machines.
Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machine.
Set machines to complete full cycles to fabricate large number of parts.
Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce outputs according to specifications.
Inspect and measure finished products and parts for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments (e.g. Micrometers, Vernier calipers)



while infilling and cleaning engraving in a timely manner.
Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.
Analyze job order and performs necessary calculations.
Makes improvements to set up times for tasks and simplify tooling time for workers and increases productivity for the client.
Provide feedback to project managers on design, modifications etc.
Work effectively in a quick-paced manufacturing workplace.

Experience
College Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent CNC qualified experience
At least 2 years of Manufacturing experience preferred
Mechanical aptitude and ability to read drawings an asset
Excellent written communication, organization, and prioritization skills
Ability to lift loads up to 50lbs
