Part Time Security Guard - Westmount Mall

Westmount Mall is a multi-tenant retail shopping centre serving the local community, featuring a variety of retail stores, services, and common areas. The site includes indoor public spaces, tenant storefronts, food services, and parking areas that accommodate high volumes of daily visitors. With consistent public traffic and special events, the mall requires an organized environment that supports customer safety, accessibility, and smooth day-to-day operations.

Position: Seasonal Part Time Security Guard

Site: Westmount Mall

Address: 785 Wonderland Road South, London, ON, N6K 1M6

Hours: Monday - Friday (10AM - 2PM)

Pay Rate: $19/hour

Overtime Method: Averaging agreement (AA) - 88

Internal Closing Date: August 31, 2026

External Closing Date: September 30, 2026

Job Duties:
Stay vigilant during high-traffic periods, especially during high school lunch breaks.
Monitor behavior and address rowdy or inappropriate conduct.
Enforce the mall’s Code of Conduct and Trespass to Property Act (TPA), asking individuals to leave when necessary.
Respond quickly to incidents and calls for service.
Maintain explicit communication with the team and complete detailed incident reports.




Use and manage security equipment such as radios.

Prerequisites:
Valid Ontario Security License
Standard First Aid, CPR Level C
Working knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act and Mental Health Act
Superior written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated punctuality and reliability
Authorized to legally work in Canada

Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite; however, Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability.
