THE QUALIFICATIONS:

The Log Scaling Technician will be a detail-oriented individual with a proactive attitude. They will possess and maintain an up to date Log Scaling License issued by the BC Ministry of Forests Timber Pricing Branch. They will have the ability to work well with others at all levels and should be a motivated self-starter who is comfortable working alone. They will need to seek solutions, take initiative and respond to change. The individual should be willing to look at and handle real/practical problems. This is a physical job, working in both office and outdoor environments regardless of conditions.





The following qualifications are preferred:
Skilled with relevant Microsoft Suite programs (Excel, Word, Access)
Minimum 2 years log scaling experience in a mill (or similar) setting

THE DUTIES:
Daily log quality assessments
Frequent data entry and analysis
Helping out the Quality Control team with miscellaneous duties, including but not limited to grade checks and inventory counts.

Pay: $65,000.00-$88,000.00 per year
