The Bridges at Tillsonburg was Founded in 1925, and expanded to an 18-hole, in 2009 and transitioned to a 12-Hole, par 48 course in 2022, The Bridges at Tillsonburg offers the best of traditional course style, beautiful views and challenging gameplay. With well-manicured greens, elevation changes, and lush fairways lined with large trees, The Bridges at Tillsonburg has been delicately carved out of nature, straddling the Big Otter Creek, and provides spectacular views.
Position Description:
Reporting to the Superintendent, The Bridges at Tillsonburg golf course is seeking a dedicated Grass Cutting Specialist to maintain the pristine condition of our playing surfaces. This is a highly independent role, perfect for those who take pride in their work and can ensure the daily appearance of our course is up to par.
The role will continue to the end of the 2026 season, with a possibility to resume for the 2027 season.
This would be an excellent position for someone who has recently retired or does not want full time hours.
What You’ll Do:
Turf Maintenance: Cut grass across the course greens, fairways, and roughs using specialized mowing equipment.
Course Presentation: Ensure all turf presentation aligns with The Bridges standards.
Equipment Care: Keep your assigned mowing machinery clean, organized, and reported for maintenance if needed.
Safety Adherence: Follow all standard safety protocols while operating turf machinery.
What We’re Looking For:
Ability to work variable hours and outside in all weather conditions.
Physical strength and endurance to perform repetitive turf-cutting tasks.
Comfort with walking, bending, and sitting/standing on equipment for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
