Yaletown House is a non profit care facility for seniors with complex care needs and is located in Vancouver, BC. We provide quality health care and services to 127 senior residents in a protected, supportive and home like workplace.

Job description

Under the direction of the Manager, Food Services, preparing, storing and serving menu items, and cooks foods in accordance with established nutritional standards and practice to ensure optimum nutritional content and suitability to residents’ needs. Perform related cooking duties as required in accordance with established procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS
Red Seal Certification
Graduation from recognized 12 month in cooking
Plus one year recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
Food Protected Certificate is an asset





SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to deal with others effectively.
Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
Ability to organize work.
Ability to operate related equipment.

DAYS/HOURS OF WORK

Shifts:

6.15am-10.30am

10am-6pm

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $29.24 per hour
