The Farmer's Daughter is a cheese shop, bistro and wine bar in the heart of Sidney, BC! We are looking for a strong candidate with cheese shop retail experience to join our small team! You would enjoy staff discounts, meals, and the tips are shared among all our staff (this is reflected in pay rate displayed).

Must be available to work evenings and weekends.

Cheesemonger responsibilities include:
Exceptional customer service
Supports a positive customer experience, providing guests with a unique, enthusiastic and informational experience
Answering customer questions, phone calls pertaining to cheese and wine
Selling cut-to-order cheese
Wrapping and cutting cheese, providing cheese care
Stocking and merchandising cheese case
Packs, labels and merchandises cheese and grocery items according to Management
Correctly operates a cash register and Apple computer
Stocks shelves as necessary
Prepares platters, baskets and online orders according to Management




Maintains the entire work area in a clean and sanitary condition
Ensures proper opening & closing procedures
Serving small bites and cheese in casual dining environment
Prepping food and restaurant for lunch and dinner service

Qualifications:
Exceptional customer service
Personable and dedicated to forming valuable relationships with customers and colleagues
Cheese knowledge (European and Canadian cheese) is an asset
Previous speciality cheese retail experience is an asset
Previous customer service experience
Excellent oral communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Positive interpersonal skills
Self-motivated and a rapid leaner
Food Safe Level 1

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
