Tri-Wave Construction Ltd. is a construction company specializing in all aspects pertaining to earthworks projects. We are looking to hire an additional Heavy Duty Truck Mechanic to join our team. This position is full-time/permanent with the offer of employee benefits.

Responsibilities:
Perform accurate preventative maintenance inspections and identifying defects on company equipment.
Properly diagnose the cause of failure and perform required repairs safely, accurately, and in an effective manner.
Record accurate service repair information on company paperwork.
Check parts availability prior to starting any disassembly.
Able to maintain legible work records, work orders, and forms.
Ensure safety of self and co-workers by maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment and bringing safety issues to your supervisor as required.
Qualified and respectful conduct at all times.

Requirements:




Red Seal or equivalent in Truck Transport or Heavy Duty along with Safety Certificate to perform company safeties.
Valid Class 5 driver’s license - Class 1 or Class 3 Drivers License with Air Brake Endorsement is an asset.

Experience and technical competencies:
Safety conscious, able to work in a safety driven environment, with knowledge of workplace safety requirements.
Demonstrate basic mechanical aptitude.
Able to work independently and demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
Must have the ability to work in a physically challenging workplace.
Must have their own tools.
Minimum of 5 years previous experience in performing vehicle inspections and repairs preferred.

Wages will be dependent on experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
