Our Cooks are the heart of the food service department in our buildings. Our cooks are:
Organized - mise en place for all aspects of the role
Quality focused - ensure food is fresh and delicious, the environment is spotless, and the equipment is clean
Adaptable - ready to pivot with the changing needs of the populations served (e.g. modified or textured diets, food allergies)
Team oriented - provides direction while maintaining a positive enjoyable work workplace in the kitchen

Responsibilities
Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas.




Ensure all food safety guidelines are followed during meal preparation and service.
Assist with inventory management, including receiving and storing food supplies.
Collaborate with team members to provide excellent customer service.

Qualifications
Food Safe 1
Red Seal (asset)
Previous experience in an Assisting Living or Long-Term care setting is preferred
Solid knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Ability to perform various cooking techniques and meal preparation tasks.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced workplace while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $25.61-$27.31 per hour
