Join our team as a Culinary Manager!

Under the direction of the General Manager, the Culinary Manager is responsible and accountable for managing all aspects of the food service within the Home and meeting the nutritional needs of the residents.

Key duties include staff oversight (selection, evaluation, termination), budget management, hands-on cooking, and ensuring food quality and safety standards. Additional responsibilities include menu planning, recipe development, managing food production and timely meal service, interpreting and implementing resident diets based on a Registered Dietitian's instructions, and conducting full nutritional assessments upon admission and re-evaluating them as needed.

We are looking for the following qualifications and traits:





- Successful completion of a recognized course in Food Service Management and/or Nutrition Management or previous experience working as a Nutrition Manager in Long Term Care.
- Successful completion of the food handlers training program, provided by public health, under the Health Protection and Promotion Act
- Must demonstrate an active interest in ongoing education
- Must be computer literate
- Minimum of 2 years food service management experience in Long Term Care (Gerontology)
