Data Scientist / Analyst – Hybrid Contract Opportunity in GTA

StafinGo is hiring for a client and is seeking an experienced Data Scientist / Analyst to join a high-impact data and analytics initiative.

This is an excellent opportunity for a data professional with strong analytical, statistical, and technical skills who is comfortable working with complex datasets, developing insights, and supporting data-driven decision-making.

Position Details :

- Job Title: Data Scientist / Analyst
- Employment Type: Contract
- Location: Hybrid – 3 days onsite
- Start Date: September 14, 2026
- End Date: March 31, 2027
- Extension: Potential extension of up to an additional 253 days
- Compensation: $60/hour T4 – $75/hour INC
- Public Sector Experience: Nice to Have

Key Responsibilities :

- Analyze complex datasets and translate findings into actionable business insights.
- Develop analytical models, reports, dashboards, and data-driven solutions.
- Perform data validation, quality checks, statistical analysis, and interpretation.
- Work with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
- Identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and opportunities through data analysis.
- Develop and maintain data models, analytical processes, and reporting solutions.
- Support data integration, transformation, and preparation activities.




- Investigate data issues and recommend effective technical and analytical solutions.
- Prepare technical documentation and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project deliverables and continuous improvement.

Ideal Candidate : The successful candidate will have:

- Strong experience in data analysis, data science, or advanced analytics .
- Excellent SQL and Python skills.
- Experience working with large and complex datasets.
- Solid knowledge of statistical analysis and data visualization.
- Experience developing dashboards, reports, or analytical products.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with project teams.
- Public-sector experience is considered an asset.
