Luxcare is looking for caring and dedicated Caregivers / Health Care Assistants (HCAs) to join our team and provide essential support to seniors and elderly clients in the Victoria, BC area.

We are currently hiring Daytime / Afternoon Caregivers who are available starting as early as 6:00 AM and throughout the afternoon, with opportunities to start ASAP.

Important Requirements Before Applying

- This is an in-person caregiving role serving clients in Victoria, BC, Canada.
- Applicants must currently reside in Victoria, BC, Canada, or be able to reliably work in the Victoria area.
- We will not process applications from individuals who are currently located outside Canada.
- Applicants must already be legally authorized to work in Canada. Luxcare does not provide immigration sponsorship or immigration-related documentation, including job offer letters for Permanent Residency applications.
- Daytime / afternoon availability starting at 6:00 AM and throughout the afternoon is required.
- Availability throughout the week, including weekdays and weekends, is required based on client care needs and service requirements.
- This role requires someone reliable, attentive, and comfortable providing daytime and afternoon care and support.

About the Role This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building meaningful connections with seniors while helping them feel safe, comfortable, and supported in their own homes.

As a daytime / afternoon caregiver, you may provide companionship, assistance with daily activities, mobility support, medication reminders, meal support, and assistance with appointments, errands, and community outings based on the client’s individual needs.

Depending on the client’s needs, caregivers may also assist with morning routines, personal care, meals, appointments, activities, and other daily needs throughout the day.

What You’ll Do

- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and meal support
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Assist clients with their morning and daytime routines
- Provide support throughout the day based on the client’s individual needs
- Support clients with mobility and transfers as required
- Provide medication reminders and observe and report changes in clients’ health and well-being
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, errands, shopping, and community outings based on client needs and family requests
- Support clients in maintaining independence and encourage social engagement
- Provide compassionate support for clients living with dementia or requiring hospice care
- Perform light housekeeping duties and help maintain a safe and comfortable home environment
- Follow each client’s Care Plan and communicate important updates to the Care Team

What You Bring

- Minimum of 2–3 years of caregiving experience required
- Experience supporting seniors and elderly clients is required
- Health Care Assistant (HCA) certification is an asset
- Current registration with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry in good standing is an asset
- Current First Aid/CPR Certification
- Criminal Record Check or willingness to obtain one
- Food Safe Certification is an asset
- WHMIS Certification is an asset
- Availability for daytime / afternoon shifts starting at 6:00 AM and throughout the afternoon
- Availability throughout the week, including weekdays and weekends
- Compassion, patience, reliability, and strong interpersonal skills




- Ability to remain attentive and responsive throughout daytime and afternoon shifts
- Comfortable assisting clients with their individual care needs throughout the day
