excellent knowledge of trucks / trailers, hydraulics, electrical, engine, trans and other systems and their components.
demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.
Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology and repair techniques.
proven experience as a mechanic
Perform mechanical repairs on equipment in the shop and road calls when required
valid CVI ticket ( is preferred but not required )
ability to follow established procedures and practices

Job Type: Full time

Pay: $50,000.00-$106,000.00 per year

Schedule:
10 hour shift
Day shift
Evening shift
Monday to Friday
Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:
Nanaimo, BC V9S 4M7: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:
heavy duty mechanic: 3 years (required)
