We focus on strong academics, whole-child development, and a Christ‑centered environment where students grow in character and purpose.Job SummaryRegent Christian Academy is seeking a dedicated Foods Teacher to lead the Culinary Arts program, inspiring students to develop lifelong skills in food preparation, nutrition, and global food systems within a Christ‑centered learning setting.Key ResponsibilitiesLab Instruction: Plan and supervise food labs for Grades 8‑12, ensuring high standards of kitchen safety and sanitation (FOODSAFE protocols).Curriculum Integration: Deliver the B.C. ADST Curriculum, focusing on the "Design‑Think" process, meal planning, and Indigenous food perspectives.Kitchen Stewardship: Manage grocery ordering, budget tracking, and maintenance of industrial equipment (stoves, mixers, sanitizers).Spiritual Integration: Lead students in understanding food as a gift, practicing hospitality, and exploring stewardship/sustainability from a biblical worldview.Requirements & QualificationsValid B.C.



Professional Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for one through the TRB).A Bachelor of Education with a Major/Minor in Home Economics, Culinary Arts, or significant industry experience (Red Seal is an asset but not required).Current Level 1 FOODSAFE certification (preferred but optional).Dedication to Christian faith, active membership in a local Christian church, and signatory of the Statement of Faith.Strong classroom management, ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners, and proficiency in educational technology.As a faith‑based educational institution, RCAS hires staff whose beliefs and conduct align with our Christian mission, values, and Statement of Faith.
