We offer a respectful open work environment, friendly work culture, and a chance to learn, be playful and creative.About The RoleThe Junior Baker - Pastry Production is responsible for producing high-volume sourdough pastries, loaf cakes, and related products with accuracy, consistency, and craftsmanship. This role involves dough mixing, recipe scaling, baking, packaging, and ensuring adherence to food safety, sanitation, and organizational standards. The Pastry Production Baker supports daily production requirements while contributing to the efficiency and culture of the kitchen team.Key ResponsibilitiesPreparing and baking a range of sourdough-based pastries and loaf cakesOperate and assist with industrial bakery equipment and mixers when requiredMixing and portioning large batches of dough with consistency and precisionScaling recipes accurately for pastries and battersBaking pastries,



packaging wholesale ordersPractice food safety and sanitation standardsMaintain cleanliness and organization of work areaAssist with inventory management and restocking suppliesReports to Kitchen Leader and works closely with senior bakery staff for training and skill development.RequirementsProven hands-on dough mixing and pastry/baking experience (minimum 1 year in a high-volume kitchen)Strong work ethic, reliability, and excellent time-management skillsPassion for bread, pastry, and quality foodClear, honest communicator with robust English skills; a supportive teamplayerAble to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and follow recipes with precisionPhysically agile and able to stand for long periodsBasic cooking and knife-handling skillsCurious, positive, kind, and eager to learnPost-secondary culinary education preferredThis role does not involve cake decorating.Pay and ScheduleMonday to Friday - 4 day working schedule7:00 AM – 5:00 PMWage is $18.00 to $20.00 plus tipsWhat We OfferAccess to Big League Portfolio products!
