Join School District 71 as a full time Computer Technician, contributing to an inclusive learning community. Utilize your technical expertise in computer installation, maintenance, and repair, while supporting a diverse educational setting.
This role requires a commitment to excellence in technology support within an educational setting. The successful candidate will possess a minimum of Grade 12 education, supplemented by CompTIA certifications and three years of current experience in maintenance and repair of personal computers in a networked setting. You will work independently and collaboratively to ensure the smooth operation of computer systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install and maintain personal computers and network equipment
• Troubleshoot software applications and hardware issues
• Perform routine maintenance on audio-visual equipment
• Maintain inventory of consumables and replacement parts
• Assist users with technology hardware and software
Requirements:
• CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ certifications
• Minimum three years of relevant experience
• Strong knowledge of current operating systems
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills
• Valid Class 5 B.C. driver’s license
