Join Vision Loss Rehabilitation Canada as a Low Vision Specialist and help reshape the lives of Canadians in Recent Westminster or Abbotsford, BC. Engage in functional assessments and device training to support clients with vision loss. This full time, permanent position at VLRC focuses on functional low vision assessments and teaching clients to optimize their vision capabilities.

You will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and clients, providing education on eye conditions and connecting them to essential resources. Your passion for rehabilitation and commitment to community service will be crucial in this role. Key Responsibilities:
Perform assessments of functional vision and related skills
Train individuals on using prescribed optical and non-optical aids




Conduct public speaking on vision loss and rehabilitation
Document assessments and maintain client records
Collaborate with community agencies and stakeholders Requirements:
Relevant post-secondary education in health care
Familiarity with adaptive technologies and visual skills
Solid organizational and decision-making skills
Knowledge of disabilities across all age ranges
