The Digital Cabinetmaker (CNC Programer) is responsible for developing accurate and efficient CNC programs for custom cabinetry, MDF doors, millwork, and related components.

Using

Microvellum and other approved programming software, this role converts drawings and project specifications into production-ready machining instructions. The CNC Programmer works closely with Design, Engineering, CNC Operators, and Production to ensure programs are accurate, manufacturable, and optimized for quality, material usage, and production efficiency.

In addition to Programming, candidates must also possess experience in the operation of various CNC Machinery

Position Duties & Key Responsibilities

CNC Programming & Production Support

- Develop, review, and optimize CNC programs using Microvellum for custom cabinetry, millwork, and related components.
- There is an expectation of “hands on learning” and working on the production floor during the first few month’s on employment.
- Interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings, and project specifications to create accurate machining instructions.
- Verify dimensions, materials, tooling,



and machining requirements before releasing programs to production.
- Support additional programming platforms, including Door Master and EnRoute, used for MDF door production.
- Prioritize programming work based on production schedules and project requirements.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

- Provide programming and technical support to CNC Operators and Production personnel.
- Troubleshoot programming, tooling, and machining issues and implement appropriate corrections.
- Maintain working knowledge of Company CNC machinery and production capabilities. Provide training and guidance to CNC Operators as required.
- Coordinate with tooling suppliers and CNC Operators to improve machining quality and efficiency.

Programming Standards & Continuous Improvement

- Maintain and update Microvellum libraries, templates, and programming standards in accordance with approved Company requirements.
- Ensure CNC programs and technical information are accurate, consistent, and properly documented.
- Identify opportunities to improve programming efficiency, material utilization, product quality, and waste reduction.
- Support continuous improvement of CNC programming and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

· Minimum of 3 years experience in custom cabinetry, millwork or furniture design

· Proficiency in working with AutoCAD and Microvellum software is a must

· Experience with Xilog Plus / Maestro is highly recommended

· A robust understanding of cabinetry design and manufacturing and how the time lines interact with each other.

· Excellent written, verbal and follow-up skills

· High organizational skills, detail oriented, self starter and team player

· Above average skills in MS office
