Sonographer – Diagnostic Imaging

Professional Summary

We are seeking qualified Sonographers to provide high-quality diagnostic ultrasound services across acute care facilities in British Columbia. This role requires a commitment to patient safety, imaging excellence, and collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
- Ensure proper patient positioning while maintaining high-quality imaging standards and patient safety.
- Verify patient identity, review requisitions, and assess relevant clinical history prior to examinations.
- Operate, monitor, and maintain ultrasound equipment.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient records, imaging documentation, and reports.
- Provide compassionate patient care and support throughout imaging procedures.
- Adhere to infection prevention, occupational health, and safety standards.

Qualifications:

- Active ARDMS and/or Sonography Canada certification with eligibility to practice in British Columbia.
- Previous sonography experience preferred; new graduates may be considered.




- Strong knowledge of ultrasound imaging procedures, protocols, and patient care practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and adaptability skills.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced and diverse healthcare environments.

Position Details:

- Schedule and Shifts: full time hours biweekly, based on facility operational requirements
- Compensation: CAD $48.00 to $60.00 per hour
