Your Current OpportunityWe are actively hiring Construction Safety Officers (CSOs) for our sites in Vancouver and Victoria. CSOs have excellent technical and soft skills, including thorough knowledge of all applicable Provincial legislation regarding Occupational Health and Safety, effective time management, organizational and problem‑solving skills, and an understanding of accident prevention and cause analysis. You must also be able to coach, facilitate and influence a cultural and behavioral change in a workplace safety culture.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor and enhance safety by tracking issues, maintaining records of incidents, and suggesting improvements.Document and track issues and potential risks in our safety management software (Hammertech).Conduct orientations, training, and safety coordination for workers and subcontractors.Perform safety inspections, hazard assessments,



and provide guidance on tool and equipment usage.Lead emergency response, manage First Aid resources, investigate incidents, and collaborate on safety record management.Skills & Experience3 or more (3+) years related experience in a safety position acquired in a construction setting.Advanced First Aid (OFA Level 3) is a must.Experience in residential construction within a General Contractor.CSO designation and/or National Construction Safety Officer or similar accreditation through a recognized training authority.Additional training in safety an asset including but not limited to, WHMIS, CSTS, Confined Space Entry, Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform etc.Your RewardsThe hourly wage range for this role is $35–$40/hour, adjusted for experience, plus overtime and benefits.#J-18808-Ljbffr
