Summary / PurposeThis position requires passing a Criminal Record Check (CPIC) and Fingerprint Criminal Record Check.Starting hourly rate: $27.43.Evaluate the driving ability of applicants at various license levels (G2, G, M2, M, controlled class) and provide examination results, assisting applicants in the driver’s licensing process.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide excellent customer service during all Driver Examination services.Respond to enrolments and enquiries related to driver licensing, determining applicant status and explaining test/re-test procedures.Complete verbal verification of applicant’s full name and date of birth.Conduct road tests, noting compliance with traffic laws, protected driving practices and handling of stressful situations.Provide detailed examination results, error analysis and improvement recommendations.Fill out evaluation forms for road test assessments.Participate in travel points or special needs testing as required.Observe and assess riding habits for M2, M and controlled class applicants.Conduct tests for applicants with disabilities.Abide by all operational regulations, policies and confidentiality requirements.Perform related duties as assigned.Health and SafetyMaintain a safe, healthy,
sustainable working environment at DriveTest Centre and travel points.Use required protective equipment and follow safety practices.Stay informed of changes to regulations and report unsafe conditions.Job RequirementsEducation / Certifications:GED or high school diploma minimum.Valid Ontario Class G driver’s licence.At least four years driving experience (date first licensed).Valid Class M and/or controlled class licences if applicable.No more than four demerit points and three violations during employment.Knowledge and Experience:Knowledge of DriveTest program and related legislation preferred.Intermediate computer skills.Minimum two years of excellent customer service experience.Skills and Competencies:Excellent customer service skills and ability to handle difficult situations.Multi-tasking ability.Ability to manage sensitive personal information.Knowledge of Highway Traffic Act and related legislation.Strong judgement and decision‑making skills.Self‑management of schedule.Assessment skills: observe, evaluate, forecast dangerous situations, provide consistent feedback.Stress management and maintaining self‑control.Working ConditionsVariable operating hours, potentially including evenings, weekends and overtime during busy periods.Exposure to weather, vehicle operations and disagreeable elements.Formal training includes classroom instruction and supervised on‑site practice.Employment subject to immediate termination if certification is not achieved during training.#J-18808-Ljbffr
