As an Educational Sign Language Interpreter, you will work closely with teachers and students to facilitate effective communication. You will prepare for lessons, participate in I.E.P. meetings, and help implement language development strategies. Robust fluency in American Sign Language and knowledge of Deaf culture are critical to your success in this team-oriented setting.

Key Responsibilities:
• Interpret for various school functions, classes, and meetings
• Prepare by previewing educational materials and vocabulary
• Contribute to the I.E.P.

Requirements:
• Completion of a Sign Language Interpretation program
• Minimum one year of interpreting experience
• High fluency in ASL is essential
• Membership in WAVLI necessary
