Position Title: Jr. Specialist, ProcurementOperating Sector: FinanceLocation: Scarborough, ON, CAType: 12 months contractWhat is the Opportunity?Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Jr. Procurement Specialist is responsible for supporting our Utilities Procurement team in all purchasing related activities. This person will also ensure the timely receipt of goods in SAP, as well as tracking deliveries and return of rental equipment. This position acts as a liaison between offices and field workers and must possess solid knowledge of procurement policies and procedures.What You’ll Do Here:Support the team in obtaining product quotes and maintaining current price listsFacilitate the onboarding and account setup process for suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and timely activationConfirm purchase quantities and pricing with vendorAdherence to Aecon preferred supplier sourcing footprintAccountable for driving toward a zero exception procure to pay processReal time resolution of price, delivery, account assignment, material and service-related exceptionsClear open commitments and close Purchase orders as requiredMaintains and organizes all related filing systemsOther procurement administrative duties as requiredWhat You Bring to the Team:Ability to work independently and as part of a team, exercising judgment and initiative and involves multi-taskingIntermediate to Advanced level of Microsoft Outlook, Word,
