Become a Seasonal Herbicide Applicator with the County of Grande Prairie from now through October 31st, 2026. This position involves spraying for vegetation control, working primarily weekdays with occasional shifts needed. In this critical role, you will be responsible for managing herbicide applications on roadsides and gravel pits. The job includes operating and maintaining equipment, monitoring weather conditions, and recording all spray activities meticulously.

Experience with herbicide application and weed identification is preferred but not mandatory. Key Responsibilities:
Identify and prioritize areas for spraying
Operate and maintain UTV, ATV, and hand sprayers
Monitor chemical and water usage during operations
Maintain accurate records and perform reporting duties
Conduct cleanup and containment for spills Requirements:
Valid Class 5 driver's license necessary
Experience with weed identification considered an asset
Pesticide Applicator’s License or equivalent certification preferred
Capable of working in diverse weather
Reliable transportation required for work Contribute to effective vegetation management with the County of Grande Prairie.
