Become a Personal Attendant for Autism at Fort St. James Secondary, where you will provide essential support to students and collaborate with educators. Work 5.75 hours daily, 5 days a week.
In this continuing position, you'll assist teachers by delivering specialized educational programs tailored for students with autism. Your advocacy and team-oriented spirit will play a crucial role in supporting students' growth. This role is essential for fostering inclusivity and improving educational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support educational program delivery alongside teachers
• Function as an advocate within the school community
• Collaborate to address behavioral challenges effectively
• Enhance student learning through inclusivity strategies
• Maintain a valid and exemplary Class 5 Driver’s License
Requirements:
• Completion of Grade 12 (Dogwood Certificate)
• Completed Education Assistant Certificate Program
• Completion of 30-hour POPARD training
• Class 5 Full Privileged BC Driver's License
• 6 months experience supporting behavioral disorders
