Contribute to creative RNA-based therapeutics research at the University of British Columbia as a Research Associate. Collaborate under Dr. Anna Blakney in a vibrant setting. This position in the Michael Smith Laboratories seeks a candidate with a PhD in a related biomedical science.
You will leverage your experience in advanced imaging and mitochondrial assays to enhance understanding of cellular responses to therapeutic RNA formulations. Engage in impactful translational research with a focus on tissue regeneration and immune modulation. Key Responsibilities:
Develop models for studying cellular responses to RNA
Execute mitochondrial assays and advanced imaging techniques
Assess metabolic signaling pathways affecting cellular outcomes
Integrate RNA and photobiomodulation strategies in research
Guide and support lab trainees on interdisciplinary projects Requirements:
PhD in biophysics, biochemistry, or related biomedical field
Expertise in developing pre-clinical models
Proven experience with imaging and mitochondrial techniques
Record of translational research and collaboration
