As a Substation Design Engineer, you will report to the Manager of Substations Engineering and oversee diverse design projects, including Capital Replacement and customer-driven initiatives. Ideal candidates will bring experience in substation design, particularly in Protection & Control and SCADA systems, to deliver exceptional engineering outcomes while fostering team-oriented partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:
• Create detailed engineering scope documents
• Design electrical substations including layouts




• Ensure designs meet industry and AltaLink standards
• Conduct cost and time estimates as needed
• Maintain effective relationships with internal clients and suppliers

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
• 4+ years experience in substation design
• Knowledge of Microstation and Autocad
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills
• Valid Driver's License for occasional travel
