The successful candidate can be based at any one of our following offices:Kingston, Ottawa, or Toronto.We offer flexible work hours to help balance the competing demands of work and personal life.ResponsibilitiesWhat your day will look like:Project Management & DesignManagement of a variety of multidisciplinary projects for both public and private sector clients across the company, with particular emphasis on the electrical component of such projectsContribution of technical expertise on a variety of multi-disciplinary projects including:Preparation of electrical design drawings including single line diagrams, site plans, power and distribution floor plans, lighting layouts, fire alarm layouts, motor controls, panel board schedules, and equipment schedules.Preparation of wiring diagrams and electrical detailsPhotometric analysis of lighting systemsVoltage drop calculationsPreparation of contract documents and specificationsSite visits and contract administrationProvide on-site services for inspections, equipment start-up, and commissioningBusiness DevelopmentManage margins and optimize sales strategies to drive sales revenue, contribute to the company's overall growth, and ensure profitability.Develop and execute effective strategies to generate and manage a robust sales pipeline.Identify and qualify potential customers to build a strong pipeline.Assess the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and measure their impact on sales while ensuring a positive return on marketing investments by allocating resources efficiently.Conduct market research to gain insights into industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes. Monitor the competitive landscape and identify opportunities for differentiation.Business travel to other Dillon offices upon requestLearning & DevelopmentCommit to self-development and ongoing learning and professional developmentInput to the career development of junior staff, including technical direction, training recommendations,
coaching and mentoringContribute to Dillon’s corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committeesQualificationsWhat you will need to succeed:A degree in electrical engineeringLicensed to practice as a professional engineer in Manitoba, or eligible to be licensed within six monthsA minimum of 10-15 years’ of related skilled experienceExperienceDemonstrated success and expertise in both project management and business developmentDemonstrated success leading teams of technical professionals on multi-disciplinary projectsComprehensive understanding of the electrical component of renewable energy-related projectsExtensive experience in:Medium and low voltage distributionMotor protection and controlEmergency power generationLoad calculationsLighting designFire alarm systemsSecurity systemsVideo surveillance systemsLightning protectionGrounding and bondingHazardous area classificationShort circuit, coordination, and arc-flash studiesExperience in performing on site services for:Condition assessmentsConstruction observation and inspectionEquipment site acceptance testingStart-up and commissioningTrainingProficiency in providing technical leadership to a team of professionalsStrong organizational and interpersonal skillsCompensation$120,000 - $160,000Dillon is including the salary range that we in good faith believe may offer for this position. It will depend on the successful applicant’s education, experience, and skills, as well as internal equity and geographic region.
