Join the Vancouver Island Health Authority as an Addictions Nurse specializing in withdrawal management services. This role offers diverse prospects to provide client-centered care in community settings. As a casual RN/RPN, you will engage with clients facing substance abuse challenges and co-occurring disorders, utilizing your knowledge of best practices.
Your responsibilities will include assessment, planning, and implementing care strategies in detox, stabilization, and outreach environments. Ensuring patient safety and comfort is crucial in this impactful role. Key Responsibilities:
Provide holistic client assessments and care planning
Monitor and support clients through withdrawal processes
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize care
Conduct outreach and in-home visits as required
Communicate effectively with clients and their families Requirements:
Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with BC College
Up to two years of experience with addiction services
Certification in First Aid and CPR
Valid BC Driver's License for travel
