With ambitious plans to launch in the US and expand into more markets, our goal is to build the world’s best reading service for kids – and help millions of children discover the joy of reading.What will you work on?The Business Development Assistant will support a global team in a fast‑paced position that requires the ability to juggle busy calendars, complex projects, and cross‑functional initiatives, while also coordinating follow‑ups and engaging with publishing and book partners to ensure seamless workflow and will amplify speed and business results. The team is spread across North America and European time zones.How will you create impact?Manage three executives’ calendars, schedule appointments, prepare meeting materials, and ensure executives are on time and well‑prepared for every day of the year and for key trade‑show events and suchHelp with administrative tasks such as arrange travel accommodation, and compile documents for travel‑related meetingsAssist in management of the team, including vacation requests, expenses,
and other approvalsPrepare all materials for executives in advance of meetings and presentations and when possible participate the meetingsTrack and coordinate cross‑functional projects, including content and publishing‑related initiativesAct as a liaison between executives and internal teams within the Lylli ecosystem.Maintain organized files, documentation, and databases, and contact databases (e.G., publishers, partners)Act as custodian of corporate documents and recordsReceive on‑the‑job training, mentorship, and ongoing development opportunities to build expertise and take on new business initiativesServe as a point of contact with external vendors, partners, and publisherWhat are your skills and experience?Strong time management, organization, people, and communication skillsAbility to multitask, prioritize a high‑volume workload, and meet strict deadlinesDemonstrated good judgment and ability to handle confidential and sensitive informationProficient in Gmail Suite (Slides, docx, spreadsheet, Gmail) and Figma (or similar) and MS Office. Comfortable in preparing presentation material for other people.Strong communication and collaboration skills across internal and external stakeholdersDetail‑oriented and able to work in a structured, autonomous mannerExperience supporting content, publishing, or creative teams is an assetThe anticipated pay range for candidates who will work in Toronto is $65,000 to $80,000 Per Annum.
