Lead Revit BIM TechnologistParsons is looking for an amazingly talented Lead Revit BIM Technologist to join our team! In this role you will lead the structural BIM team, support the BIM Manager and our Project Delivery Teams to execute the day‑to‑day development, establishment and implementation of BIM in Parsons Canada offices.What You'll Be DoingLead the structural BIM team, support the BIM manager and Project Delivery Team(s) in day‑to‑day BIM implementation activities.Develop 3D dimensional models required for drawing preparation, clash reporting and presentation aligned with the project LOD requirements and modeling standards.Develop structural 3D models in coordination with architectural 3D models.Extract 3D models for clash analysis, schedule review and QTO reports.Ensure coordination of all model interfaces with designers and engineers of other disciplines.Ensure all models, drawings and deliverables are checked to comply with project and company quality standards and BIM requirements.Prepare the engineering drawings from the model that comprise detailed arrangements, plans, sections and elevations.Develop and extract 2D geometry from the models for drawing production and internal reviews and coordination meetings.Ensure Project Information Models (PIMs) are delivered in accordance with the agreed TIDP, MIDP and CDE protocol.Prepare BIM package submissions in accordance with project standards and requirements.Conduct clash detection and visual walkthroughs.Prepare models and reports for constructability analysis.Coordinate work with the lead technical engineer, including taking responsibility for timely completion of deliverables.Hands‑on construction experience and/or work with existing transit projects is considered an asset.Coordinate with junior and intermediate technologists by providing guidance and mentorship.Required SkillsBachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering or Architectural technology from an accredited technical institution.Minimum 10+ years Revit experience with in‑depth knowledge of current Revit versions; proficient in CADdesign 2D/3D (AutoCAD and Revit).Ability to set up new Revit project files for the team and demonstrate strong problem‑solving and multitasking skills; produce Revit families according to project requirements.Maintain standards and library of Revit families/objects; run clash detection in Revit.Strong computer skills; experience producing working drawings in Revit.Expert knowledge of Revit including parametric modeling, generation of BOM, assemblies, sub‑assemblies, creation of families.Advanced Revit skills essential including creation of a federated model using Revit links, working with Revit worksets and using shared coordinates.Proficient in BIM authoring, scripting, design review, coordination, simulations and collaboration platforms.Essentials : Revit, Dynamo, Navisworks, ACC, Civil3D, AutoCAD.Preferable : ProjectWise, Synchro, Bluebeam Studio, Autodesk Inventor professional, SketchUp, 3D Max.Rail projects experience is an added advantage.Knowledge of BIM codes and standards (ISO19650, PAS1192‑2, BS1192).Knowledge of general BIM model requirements (LOD, naming convention, parametric modeling, etc.).Desired SkillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to develop analytical reports and presentations.Build effective relationships with project delivery team, client and contractor under time pressure.Salary Range: $32.64 - $56.68This position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.We offer best‑in‑class benefits including health, vision, dental, employer‑paid provincial care premiums, Defined Contribution Pension Plan (DCPP), Tax‑Free Savings Account (TFSA), Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP), life insurance, paid time off, sick leave, all provincial holidays and gym membership discounts.Parsons is an equal‑chance employer committed to diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility in the workplace.
