You will conduct high-voltage power systems planning studies, prepare reports, and recommend solutions to manage capacity and reliability of the transmission system for safe and secure operation. Simulation of the power system is performed using sophisticated software such as PSS/e. You will develop scope specifications for high voltage transmission projects, assist in preparing Hydro One’s annual investment plan, and ensure compliance with standards (NERC, NPCC, IESO, OEB).Job FunctionAssist in the conduct of operations research, technical/economic/environmental/business/regulatory impact assessments and other specialized studies to determine transmission and distribution customer/system needs; assist in analysis of problems and development of strategies and preferred solutions; and assist in delivery of solutions through suppliers and service providers.
