Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Dishwasher/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining a clean, organized kitchen environment while assisting with food preparation and basic cooking tasks. Your enthusiasm and commitment to cleanliness will help ensure our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently, delivering outstanding service to our guests.
Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment promptly and thoroughly to maintain cleanliness standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients under supervision
- Support the kitchen team by organizing supplies and ensuring all areas are sanitized and stocked
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene compliance
- Maintain a clean work environment by regularly cleaning workstations, floors, and storage areas
- Assist with basic cooking tasks when needed, supporting the culinary team during busy periods
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations to promote a safe working environment
Requirements
- Prior experience in restaurant or food service environments preferred but not required
- Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures, food handling, and sanitation standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic kitchen experience or familiarity with food preparation techniques is a plus
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward learning recent skills
- Knowledge of hospitality or hotel experience is advantageous but not mandatory
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer service
