Daycare Operations Coordinator

LEASH Loft & Spa – Coquitlam, BC

Full-Time | Approx. 35-40 hours/week | $21.00-$24.00/hour

LEASH Loft & Spa is looking for a reliable, confident and highly organized person to join our team in a full time Daycare Operations Coordinator role.

This is more than a dog daycare attendant position. We’re looking for someone who can work hands on with the dogs while also helping coordinate the day, provide direction to staff, communicate with clients and keep daily operations running smoothly.

You don’t need to be a traditional “manager,” but you do need to be comfortable taking the lead when needed.

What You’ll Do

- Supervise and interact with dogs in a group daycare environment
- Monitor dog behaviour, play and safety
- Help organize the daily workflow and ensure required tasks are completed
- Provide direction to daycare staff throughout the shift
- Delegate tasks and adjust staff positioning based on the needs of the daycare
- Help maintain consistency with daycare procedures, cleaning standards and safety expectations.
- Communicate concerns or operational issues to ownership.
- Support and guide newer team members.
- Greet clients and manage drop-offs and pick-ups.
- Respond to client emails, calls and inquiries.
- Manage bookings and update client accounts.
- Assist with daycare assessments and new-client onboarding.
- Help organize daycare events, promotions and special activities.
- Assist with social media/content when needed.
- Open and/or close the facility depending on scheduling.
- Feed dogs, clean and assist with all regular daycare duties.

This is a hands on leadership role. You will be working alongside the team, not simply supervising from the sidelines.

Previous experience in dog daycare, veterinary care, grooming or another animal-care environment is an asset. Previous experience supervising, training or providing direction to coworkers is strongly preferred.

Schedule

This is a full-time position of approximately 40 hours per week.

LEASH Loft operates Monday–Friday from 6:00 AM–7:00 PM, so applicants must have flexibility to work a combination of opening, daytime and closing shifts. With the most common on being 11:00AM - 6:00PM.

Compensation

$21.00 - $24.00/hour
