IS2 Woodstock is currently hiring a Machine Operator for one of its steel manufacturing clients based in Woodstock. An ideal candidate is a detail orientated and a self-driven individual. These are temporary to permanent (evaluation hire) immediate openings for 2 people for the afternoon shift.LocationWoodstock, ONShift HoursStraight Afternoons: 3:00 pm – 11:05 pm (Monday to Friday)Straight Midnights: 11:00 pm – 07:05am (Sunday to Thursday)Compensation$20.50/hour + shift premiumJob ResponsibilitiesMaintain conformance with work rules and regulationsLoad raw material and unload processed material in a safe and productive manner.Attention to detail.



Change settings of the machine to produce finished goods to order specifications.Operate computerized panel to perform repetitive machining operations.Responsible for the efficient and secure operation of various machineryProduction reporting and downtime tracking.Proper product identification and status trackingWork order tracking and completion.In process quality inspections and the use of measuring tools.Work to continuously improve all areas of productivity and reduce scrap.Inform supervisor or team lead of non-conformance issues.All other duties as assigned.Job RequirementsMust have a minimum 1 to 3 years of Machine Operating experience.Attention to detail and high level of accuracy when performing machine set up.Maintain cleanliness of workstation and meet 5S requirementsExcellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.Participate in all required Safety training provided by the company, practice safe working habits and report any recognized workplace hazards.Ability to learn new work instructions and procedures through on-the-job training and experience.#J-18808-Ljbffr
