Will perform the following duties:Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of heavy equipment operator crews engaged in soil excavation, extraction, mixing, and deliveryEstablish and adjust work methods and procedures to meet soil mix specifications, production schedules, and project deadlinesCoordinate soil sampling and testing activities for base soils and mixed products in collaboration with internal staff and external laboratoriesInterpret soil test results and supervise the adjustment of soil mix recipes from laboratory scale to full heavy equipment productionEnsure operational compliance with approved soil mix recipes through ongoing monitoring, sampling, and corrective instruction to equipment operatorsIdentify production or quality issues and recommend corrective measures to improve efficiency, consistency, and complianceCoordinate and schedule contractors receiving soil mixes and oversee loading and delivery timelinesPlan and supervise short‑term and long‑term soil production schedules across multiple sitesTrain and oversee heavy equipment operators to ensure quality control, safe work practices, and efficient production methodsPrepare and maintain production, testing,
and compliance reports related to soil composition and site‑specific requirementsSkills RequiredMinimum 3 years of experience supervising or coordinating soil mixing or related construction production activitiesExperience supervising heavy equipment operator crews in a construction or materials production environmentKnowledge of soil composition, standardized soil parameters, and site‑specific compliance requirementsExperience with soil sampling procedures and interpretation of laboratory test resultsAbility to apply mathematical calculations to soil mix recipe development and adjustmentExperience scaling production processes from laboratory testing to heavy equipment operationsStrong organizational, scheduling, and reporting skillsAbility to train and supervise workers to maintain quality, efficiency, and safety standardsEnglish oral and written communication skillsValid driver’s licence and reliable transportationWage and BenefitsWages as a Supervisor – Production of Soil Mixes for Construction Development Projects are $40.00 per hour for 30 to 40 hours per week. Overtime hours will be banked and managed in accordance with a formal overtime agreement established with Park Landscaping. After a 3‑month probationary period, you will be entitled to group perks including extended health and dental.
