OverviewWe’re looking for a top-notch Bilingual Proofreader (English and Quebec French) to proofread copy decks and creative layouts for one of our financial services clients (and a wide range of other blue‑chip accounts).Our ideal candidate is a meticulous, detail‑oriented, and well‑organized individual with a robust focus on flawless execution and the highest standards expected by our clients.They will work independently and with the agency QA team to ensure that our online marketing assets meet established standards for graphics, grammar, spelling, image quality, and layout & design.They will organize multiple projects, manage their time and prioritize effectively.This role reports to the Director of Print and Studio Operations and will be a 4 – 6 months contract.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with creative and account services teams to ‘pre‑read’ creative decks and to comprehend the English‑to‑French translation accuratelyEnsure that the client‑approved English and French copy decks match the corresponding creative/graphic layoutsReview layouts against the corporate brand guidelines (checking for typographic consistency, logo placement and alignment of graphic elements, etc.)Annotate errors and inconsistencies clearly and work closely with the creative department and account service teamsFollow established digital and print studio workflow, process and proceduresQualifications3 to 5 years’ proofreading experience in an ad agency, similar marketing department, design studio, publishing or print environmentPrevious financial services experience a plusSolid working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, PowerPoint,



and Google Docs is requiredExperience with industry‑standard digital workflow software such as JIRA, Workfront or Float is a plusPeople SkillsWork collaboratively and show a willingness to help othersMust be able to take initiativeCommunicate effectively with studio staff and the broader agency teamAbility to adapt to new workflows including the use of AI and automation toolsHandle admin tasks such as attending status meetings and completing timesheets in a timely mannerSalaryTransparency matters to us. The salary range for this position is CAD $70,000 - CAD $80,000 per year. Actual compensation within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and applicable certifications.
