Adecco is currently hiring an Electrical Designer for a full-time opportunity in Vancouver, BC. This role is ideal for someone with consulting experience who enjoys working on building projects and developing electrical designs in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.In this role, you will support electrical design and documentation for a variety of projects including mixed-use developments, office towers, and institutional facilities. You will work closely with engineers and project managers to develop construction drawings, perform calculations, and support projects from planning through to construction and commissioning.Key DetailsSalary:Up to $80,000/yearLocation:Vancouver, BCSchedule:Monday to FridayEmployment Type:Full-timeVacancy Status:This posting is for an existing vacancy.ResponsibilitiesWork under the direction of Project Managers to develop construction document packages and reportsAssist lead Engineers with planning, studies, and assessmentsConduct site reviews to document existing conditionsPrepare engineering studies and perform design calculations including feeder sizing, voltage drop, fault current, and lighting calculationsDesign and layout electrical systems including equipment, wiring devices, lighting, life safety, communication, and security systemsPrepare electrical design mark‑ups and coordinate with drafting teamsLiaise with utilities for new service connectionsSupport construction and commissioning processes, including preparing field reports, reviewing shop drawings, and managing change ordersCollaborate with architects, interior designers,
and other project stakeholdersEnsure designs align with applicable codes and standardsSupport additional project tasks as requiredQualificationsMust be eligible to work and reside within CanadaBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (B.Eng.), Technology diploma, or Red Seal electrician certification2 to 5 years of consulting experience in the building industryProficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and construction documentsStrong communication skills and ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teamsFamiliarity with Canadian Electrical Code and industry standards (ASHRAE, BCBC, NECB)Experience with AutoCADKnowledge of electrical design across various sectors including mixed‑use, healthcare, and institutionalFamiliarity with current development and tenant improvement projectsExperience with short circuit and fault study software is an assetWorking toward P.Eng designation is preferredStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesAbility to work independently and within a team in a fast‑paced environmentExperience with software such as Revit, AGI32, ETAP, SKM, or PV system modelling is an assetExperience with AI tools such as Copilot is an assetWhy ApplyWork on diverse and impactful building projectsCollaborate with experienced engineers and multidisciplinary teamsOpportunity to grow technical skills with mentorship supportExposure to full project lifecycle from design to constructionJoin a dynamic and supportive work environment#J-18808-Ljbffr
